Title: K75 decided to take a break on the side of the road
Post by: scotlandkane on May 25, 2015, 11:45:10 PM
Hey folks...

So my 1995 K75 seemed to be running smoothly until it decided to quit on me and left me on the side of the road. At first I thought it had run out of gas, but there was plenty in the tank. When I tried to start it up it would turn over but not fire up.

Should I try to replace the fuel filter first?

Suggestions?

Thanks!
Grace

Fuel filter and whilst your in there look for any bits of rubber, use a torch not a match to light up the area though, how many miles has your K?

Do you hear the fuel pump running when you press the starter switch?
Check the 4pin connector at the right rear of the fuel tank. Not uncommon for bad/dirty electrical connection here and cause fuel pump to stop.
