My K75 has been sitting in the garage over winter (yeah I know, but I live in Cornwall..!) :euro and started and ran fine when I took it for its MOT test last week. Now, not so good. Totally dead. I know the battery is fully charged.
I'm suspecting the kill switch - wondered if it was a known issue on K-Bikes? It was in the "Off" position throughout the bike's hibernation.

...if your horn or headlight doesn't function, check the ignition switch instead.

Thanks Inge. I was hoping it wasn't the Ignition switch - I rebuilt it just last year! Mind you, we must remember the old saying:
"If it ain't broke, I ain't worked on it yet" :oops:
So it could be me being as cack-handed as ever. Just one thing: Doesn't the killswitch disable things like lights and horn too?

No.......after the ignition switch the circuit split in two, one wire to the kill switch...
the other to the load shedding relay (lights, horn ++).

You may want to disassemble the switchgear and clean the contacts. Just be careful that you don't lose any screws. After removing from the handlebar, put in a shoe box or similar to catch them.

Thanks to all for advice on this. The killswitch and the ignition switch were fine in the end...BUT the connector under the tank for the ignition switch was intermittent. I cut it out and got soldering - seems to have done the trick! :riding:
