I was just informed by Auto Zone that my battery has a dead cell. I'm looking for a battery for my 1995 K75
LowSeat. I ws thinking of buying an Oddyssey PC680. Can anybody out there who has recently bought one recommend a supplier. Is this a good battery for my Low Seat K? Do I need to get the add on L adapters for the terminals? I'll take any other recommendations for the Low Seat. I m just worried about certain horror stories I've heard about 5 week shipping time.

I bought my PC680 from https://sepbatteries.com for a K1100. This battery was a little taller and narrower than stock but still barely fit (height is snug). It seems like a better unit than the couple of others I've tried, it does not run down at all between uses, so far so good, seems very strong. I recall it came with some L brackets; if it's still the same packaging you get them with the battery.
Looks like you can get them via Amazon and have them shipped in about 5 days, at about the same price or lower than the vendor above.
YMMV.

I just bought one at the end of February from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Odyssey-PC680-PC680-P-Battery/dp/B0002ILK6I/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1428124056&sr=1-1
Shipping took a week and the manufacture date was in 2014 so the supply is fairly "fresh." It's my second one after completely discharging my last one more times than I can remember over 4 years of hard riding.

I bought one from Amazon in January and the manufacturing date was just three months prior.

I ordered the Odyssey battery through Amazon. Though I ordered the L terminal adapter kit separately there was no need because a kit was included with the battery. The cost was $105.05 plus $8.80 for shipping and handling. It took approximately 9 days to arrive to my house. The battery is substantially smaller than the stock. I did alter the ground wire, not sure if that was necessary. Static reading has been 13.02 volts. There's a lot of empty space in the battery compartment due to the smaller size of this battery, less weight too. Presently, I am very satisfied with this purchase. Again, this battery is being used for a 1995 K75 low seat model. The bike feels a whole lot better. Not sure if that was the battery or the wax wash I gave her. I hope this helps others.

Good to know the Odyssey (which seems to be the go-to battery for the K) fits under the low seat Bill - thanks.

The last two batteries that were installed on my K75 were stock BMW batteries. Also, when I purchased my R1200R I was stuck that night after picking up the bike with a bad battery. What all three batteries had in common was, they all had dead cells, they where all stock BMW batteries and they all came from Max BMW. What I've learned is not to buy batteries from dealerships because their supply may not be fresh enough. I am not trying to cast any negative aspersions on Max BMW. I have bought many accessories and parts from them but I will not buy anymore batteries from them. Sorry to report this, but it is what it is....
