Title: K100LT Handlebar mountings
Post by: Muddy90 on February 11, 2015, 08:11:22 AM
Hi

I've been lurking on this forum for sum time soaking up all the technical help and banter.
I have just got 89 K100LT through the annual MoT (this is a compulsory test of your vehicle here in the UK). However I got an advisory on the handlebar mountings. The tester said that they were worn in his opinion. When I looked up the cost of replacing them they cost £9:71 each and it appears that 4 are needed. However when I look at the parts diagram I can only see 2. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

Mike

It's one rubber on the top of the yoke and one on the bottom on each side, four all together.
Some have thightened up this mounting by adding washers from the underside.
These washers must have a slightly bigger inner dia than the non threaded part of the bolt.

Thanks for the quick response Inge.

I think I'll bite the bullet and buy some new rubbers.
