Title: Gas Not Boiling Now (Cooler Install)

Since my last post on the boiling gas I put a gas cooler on my hot 1993 K1100RS.  Pics attached.   Rode it up to the Beemer bash a couple of weeks ago around a 1,500 mile round trip and it was 90 to 95 degrees out.  The gas tank is a lot cooler, but the bike still runs hot over 90 degrees.  I have some other tricks to try maybe in a month or two as I get time.  For now its much better.  But I am pretty sure the ethanol in todays fuel is not helping this bike.  enjoy the pics......

That is very cool -- pardon the pun. So does that prevent the blow-dryer effect on the legs that occurs when the fan kicks in? That's really unpleasant when the asphalt is heated up to over 100 deg...

Is it a problem if the gas boils? Seems like a good way to keep moisture out of the tank...

Nope, that's just heat from the radiator. This will just keep that heat from boiling the gas.
