Title: Valve Adjustment.. Verstehe mich nicht?
Post by: TaosBrick on September 22, 2014, 10:42:22 AM
Ok, I've had Chile Red for 30k of its 57k miles. Dunno if they've ever been checked. Looking thru the literature, there is no mention of finding TDC for whichever cylinder you intend to check. Was gibt?
Will this majically become clear once I take the valve cover off?

Yes. You'll just need to rotate the shaft with a wrench to maximize the gap for each cylinder. You'll figure it out.

Kinda figgerd somethin' like that. Any TDC marks on anything anywhere, or do you just make sure lobe in question is pointed is pointed straight out?

There's a great video that shows how to used the tools and Chris Harris has a Kbike valve adjustment video too. Search this this forum for the links. I turned the crank with a 19mm (I think) but people say you can turn the wheel instead.
