Title: Gear oil tool
Post by: Texbid on August 03, 2014, 01:25:12 PM
Changed my gear oil today. Made a tool based on instructions and just wanted to share the photos. The wire is standard household Romex. Long end that goes into the gearbox is 115mm long.  Works a charm

Ad 10 mm.....then you also have the low level mark, and not only the high level mark...easier to check.

Factory tool kit that includes the rear shock preload wrench doubles as a gear box dip stick.
But looks like a good solution, if you're missing this tool.

Not on a K11 (as Texbid have)...........it's a piece of sheet metal, bent in the shape as above.

Good for testing for contaminated alien blood too.
