I bought the 4-hole reman. Bosch fuel injectors off Ebay for $100 from Oside Tiger outfit. My bike had 31k on it, and I thought why not, after reading up on the 4-hole vs. single pintle style of injector our bikes are equipped with. I have recently replaced throttle body bushings, fuel lines, fuel filter, vacuum lines etc., and sync'd the throttle bodies.
These are BMW 318i O.E. injectors, and Oside Tiger stated they were 'plug-n-play' in the K1100...and they seem to be...so that's a plus.
1st start-up: bike ran fine, injectors worked with no issues/leaks....good news, it runs!
After 30 mile ride: bike ran well, but...but I didn't feel any huge improvement in performance. The engine did seem a tad bit more responsive, it reached higher rpm's quicker/easier with maybe less throttle opening??...it was hard to tell any big change...which is probably good in ways. (Next Day)After another 20 mile ride, the bike is running very well, and it does seem to be...quicker...
If your bike has high mileage or dirty injectors, these may be a good option. With 31k on my O.E. injectors i didn't really see huge difference, but they certainly work well. Maybe mileage will improve but I don't really care about that per se...I just wanted to try them.
The theory and info online of 4-hole vs. single, seems to make sense --better atomization/vaporization and thus, more efficient-- maybe I just don't have the sense to feel how much better they are... :bmwsmile
P.S. After 1200+ mile trip to Black Hills, the bike ran superb...for $100, these appear to be a worthy upgrade.

I have just over 100,000 miles on my 1996 K1100LT and as far as I know I have the original injectors. Has anyone else tried this and have there been any issues? I may try this if it's relatively straight forward.

Soooooo, from someone who was considering doing this, what has been your experience so far since you have had them in for several months now?

This much I know.... you can get some injectors from a stranger on Ebay. Or you can send your trusted, tried and true OEM units to Mr Injector. They'll come back like new.

How much happier was your K after having it done? Mine has about 43k miles, but age and deterioration are the main reasons for cleaning/replacing.

Mine were not that bad and the bike was running fine when I sent them into Mr. Injector. But when I got them back, it was like I had added a turbo charger!
I was pleasantly surprised.

Thanks. If I could get a second set for my Mazda3 then I would send a set off to him to clean and then swap when I get them back. I have gone from consistant 34-35 mpg hwy to barely 30 mpg doing the exact same trip and speeds.

Bike runs better than ever...increased throttle response is definitely there. If your injectors are old/dirty, there will be a change, and for 100 bucks its a decent upgrade.

I have the same need for my old Chevy Blazer. But for a truck as old as that, six injectors x $16 is a major investment!

Not to high jack the thread but when I got my bike it was non running and had been sitting for several years. Got it going but it ran like crap. Found Mr. Injector on the web and sent mine out to them. Quick turn around and it cleared up my poor running issues. Great company to deal with.

I've had a look and have found 318i injectors as E30, E36 and another which I think was E42. Any steers as to which ones I should be looking for as replacements for my K1100? Any help greatly appreciated :-)

An original bmw partsnumber would be even better, just to be safe... I think my k75 would improve a lot from this (at 360 k km's) so i'd also like to know more...

I too, have done the Oside Tiger 4-hole injector upgrade. They have a good rating on Ebay and I now know why.
Got the injectors and new o-rings very quickly. The swap was easy and while subtle, there is a noticeable improvement.
Put these on my bike about a year(6k miles) ago and the first thing I notice was that the girl ran smoother and throttle response was crisper.
Over time measured a Fuel mileage improvement of about 1.5 mpg.
Bike had 70k when I did this and was running as strong as usual before I did the swap.
All in all, not a bad $100 spent when the stock injectors are starting to get old.

Hello which one 318i you mean, E30 E36 or E46, or write pls OEM number, thanks
