Title: Fork seal replacement
Post by: roninvt on July 19, 2014, 06:46:13 PM
I replaced my fork seals about a week ago.  One is great and the other is a gusher!!  I did the job by removing the lower tubes only and left the forks in place.  I picked up a new seal today from an ace indie wrench and he said the seals are designed to be slid down the tube, and that doing it the way I did is a good way nick the seal.  How do you do it?

If I've got the right video, This guy has a pretty good trick for sliding seals on without damaging them. Check it out. Al

If it's on the K11, it would be correct to mount them from the top.....if you follow BMW advice.
