Hello to all, Dennis here from the Netherlands.
I recently bought my first K bike, first Beemer to for that matter.
It's a K75RT from 1990 with near to 360k km showing on the odo but still running sweet.
I have been bikeless for the last oh, say 6 years, so still a bit rusty but it's all coming back quite rapidly as the bike just fits me like a glove.
Rider comfort, good upright seating (my back likes that) not to quick (nervous) handling and an engine which doesn't hit you in the back with a big bat but is always there when you need it, no matter the revrange it's in at that point, it just goes.
Yep, we're going to get along just fine
Other than that, the basics... Yes I'm married, happily to i should ad, and we have 3 kids.
Took our son for a brief spin on the back lately (first time for him) and now he keeps asking when we go out riding again.... I think he's bitten :2thumbup:
The girls will have to wait until we have fitting helmets for them as to big a helmet is just as bad as no helmet (and we are not allowed to ride without a helmet here, should one want to opt for that...)
I'm a truckdriver by trade, long days working but home every night after I've been doing the long(ish) haul for about 8 years, seen a lot of Europe in that time...
Now for the shorter trips, but home every night, so our kids know their dad for real, not just a voice on the Phone who mommy says is that man in that picture that drops by every sunday....
Ow and I'm 41, so finally decided is was "old enough" for a Beemer :hehehe (Sorry but here in Holland a Beemer is still considered an old man's bike)
Eehm..... That's about it i think, for now....
Greets, Dennis

Thank you for you very interesting introduction.....welcome to the forum.....Ain't no bike like a K bike in my estimation.

Eehm.... That would require taking it for a photoshoot first, then.... :yes
Will do, just not jet, have to clean her up a bit first. In the mean time, try picturing an all white RT, black wheels, motor and Touring hard bags, a bit dirty and scratched up from the years....
Oh wait, just remembered, i posted 2 on Facebook the day i picked her up!
