Hello chaps!
This thread will serve as a way for me to keep track of my Projekt, itemize what I need to do, and will update when I’ve done it. Suffice to say - this thread may move slowly :)
Background;
Purchased this 1986 K75s in Early 2013 at roughly 120,000k's for $2000NZD
Cooling fan was non-functioning at purchase, but apart from that was fairly tidy. No Service History was provided with the bike.
Fairing had obviously been fibreglass repaired at some point, but was done to a high standard, slight rust around the tank filler cap, rear shock past it's best, and needed a new rear tire, but apart from that, ran well, never failed me, and looked good doing it :)
Had a slight crash mid 2013 - posted about it here - only damage was broken handlebar and windshield.
Replaced handlebar with spare bar from my parts bike (1993 K75s with ~40,000ks)
End of 2013 noticed oil leak coming from the oil pressure switch, front shocks not leaking but now working very well either (in combination with the old rear shock proved to be a very 'wallowly' ride) Throttle hesitation and massive backfires on deceleration caused by throttle sync being out.
About April 2014 I went out to start it up and what have you, and noticed the brake light and headlamp were active, even though the kill switch was on and no key. I haven't looked into this yet but suspect water in there somewhere or a shorted connection...
It's been off the road since early 2014 awaiting this Projekt to commence.
To Do List (In no order);
Full Oil / Filter Change
Fuel Pump Filter Change
New Sparkplugs
Cleaned Injectors
New Brake Pads F and R
New Oil Pressure Switch
Rebuilt rear Hagon, or K100 Shock I have
Fresh, thicker Front Fork Oil (perhaps progressive springs)
New Brake Fluid
Mototronic instrument rebuild
Rust / corrosion around tank filler investigated / repainted
New Battery 02/August/2014
Front Brake Lever not activating Brake Light
Repair to RHS tragkorb crack
Throttle Body Sync
New Front Tire
Very small crack / tear in seat.
Replace hand strap between rider and pillion on seat
New handlebar + grips (perhaps move to a C bar)
Air Filter change
Rear Spline Lube
New Windshield
Centre stand install (was removed by P.O)
Fairing 'hardened' (it's a bit loose ATM)
Newer / cleaner Exhaust installed, or Remus which I have also.
General clean and tidy (Rims / Engine Block, Painting, new BMW Emblems)

Phew, looks like a bigger list on 'paper' than it did in my head! haha
I'll take a photo this weekend of the current state of the Brick, and post status updates as I tick something off the list :)

Backfires may also suggest that it is worth looking at the state of the rubber parts either side of the throttle bodies as well as the rubber caps on the vacuum test points. DAMHIKIJK.

Already got the Z Crank-case breather hose from BeemerBoneyard
Just dropped the hammer on;
Progressive Front Fork Springs
New K75s Windsheild
Centerstand bolts / springs etc
Also got a new Motometer coming from our very own Finnigan! Thanks again man!
Next on the to-buy list is a new rear shock, new handlebar, underseat helmet lock and some hand protectors, then i'll be on the search for a reasonably priced OEM topbox and throttlebody calibration thing-a-ma-jig
Got the bike 'booked in' @ my GF's Dads workshop the weekend all the above finally makes it's way down to me, will aim to get most of the work done there with the proper tools and a lot of help!
Considering pulling the injectors from my parts bike and sending them off to be reconditioned... would you guys recommend that or just getting some of those fancy pants '4-hole' injectors new?

So, as you may have guessed the poor K75 sat on the deck, nothing happening.
In the interim i've bought a house, WITH a garage :)
Today I pulled out the bike, dusted it off, pulled the panels and gave it a proper stocktake
things are considerably worse than in the original post!
i'll update as I go, hopefully not another 2 year gap between posts :)

Any progress on the projekt in the last 5 months.
Weather has been crap here in the Tron lately - so plenty man cave time!
Keen to see your bike. My cafe racer project is coming along slowly too.

Hey Quiltzig! Another NZ Motobricker! Yay! :)
The only progress has been clearing out the Garage, still have got a heap of my GF's mothers shit in there, hopefully gone soon! (the junk not the mother... ;))

Haha... yeah I have Grandsons gear in my shed.
My project is going along OK, will post more pics later today.
Hope you get back onto yours soon.
