Anyone know if there's any compatibility between 1996 K1100 LT rear ABS sensors and say 1998 - 2000 K1200 rear ABS sensors?
I'm still having issues and need a solution.

Well, according to the parts fiche, the late model 1100 abs pulse generator(after 7/93) is part #34 52 2 331 290
Fits some models K1200, but not all.
1200LT 06/97-12/03 euro
1200LT 06/97-11/03 usa (model year 99-04?)
1200RS 04/96-04/05 euro
1200RS 05/96-12/00 usa (model year 98-01?)
Sounds like you may want to research a little further the donor model.

Ignoring the part numbers, I looked at the length of the rear sensor on my K1100, was exactly the same as a spare one I got from somewhere, so I just cut off the connector and fitted it....working perfectly so far :2thumbup:

Thanks Mike - I may give that a go

Well it worked fine on my bike :2thumbup:
I soldered the wires and heat-shrinked them, so don't expect any problems long term

Worked for me too when a mysterious fault appeared in the ABS cable...still good 50k later.

I get a 135(ish) ohm resistance through the sensor as per previous posts from Inge K. I get a positive voltage reading from the loom plug (I can't remember what the value was) when the ignition is turned on. I can't figure where the problem is. I've tried both rear calipers / sensors and no joy. I'm going to try a third but if it doesn't register, I'm not sure how to properly test the loom. Any ideas?

Nope, sorry chap!
I'm next to useless with electrics, can just about do the basics with a multimeter :hehehe
As I said before, I went for the simple approach and just grafted on a different part and it worked :2thumbup:
