Do I need to remove gas tank on 1988 k100 to replace fuel filter?
-
yawl...
nope... open the fuel cap... remove the 4 bung screws under the cap... lift the whole fuel bung off the tank... reach in there and loosen the filter hose clamps... pull it out taking note of the direction arrow...

It's also less messy if you have a near empty tank!

A small ratchet and a long 7mm socket (or short extension) also makes life easier.
