Been lurking here for a month. The motorcycle bug has bitten again...and this time is going to be a K-bike. Started my hunt this week. Missed out on a few. But I do have some choices between CO,NM,WY, UT. Have about ten here in the metro area
Here's the Hard choice...K-75 or K100. Rode a 85 K-100 standard as it came out in 85 (Demo). And later a K-75S in 92, that was the demo bike for the old BMW of Denver shop on W Evans Ave for those that have been to Denver Before. That is now the mega BMW dealer currently in Denver. So I will be asking questions.
I've had my current CO MC lic endorsement since 1980. Stopped riding steady around 2001 ( We sold the Harley's for an RV, so I'll take Forum abuse for that ! Say the next 10 posts sound fair? ) Did have the last yr. ,74 Triumph Trophy Trail (500cc) in the interim until 2010.
Let me say in closing for now...the Tech and DIY articles here are top rate. And I have been using the moderator's Spec Info to get up to speed again on these bikes. I'm leaning towards an RT as I had a 88 HD Tour Glide and put 80k on the clock on that one. But there are a few 75S here and on out to the western slope of the state I should look at. It's interesting to me that mileage, year and money wanted, are all over the place. Even as I have looked out in to the rest of the country as well. So between Craigs,BMWmoa.org and what have you ( been looking here as well, I should find something.
Glad to be here, Robert

greetings taosbob101...
welcome to the world famous motobrick.com...
lotts to think about when choosing a motobrick... i couldnt hang with the lt cause its upright ergos and i needs the air blowing on me... so i know i couldnt hang with the rt cause its windscreen is even more restrictive...
the k75 k75c k75t k100rs k1100rs is what i would be looking for... butts if you ask scott_ im thinking he would be a rt lt guy... so we all be different... try them all and choose wisely...
enjoy...

I have a K75rt now for 24 years. I can't speak about the other models. If you go with rt, get rid of BMW windshield, too tall. I have Parabellum and like it, but I am sure there are others. Wit rt full fairing you can ride all day in comfort and not get tired from wind blast, but it is vey hot when temperature is above 85F, but great in cool weather and rain.

Thanks everybody !...
Until I get one, I put up an avatar I use over on the Land Rover Forum I'm a member of. Solihull Society.org. Had to put up something...
Just had an email returned about a 88 K75S that just sold up in the mountains west of Denver. The ad sat idle for a long time, I answer and it's gone yesterday. I better kick my research up a notch, and get the funding in place quicker.
I guess bike questions I have are going in to another section here.
