Time to head for the hills...

More pics.
I stopped for a Coke break across from this waterfall:

Parking was a hassle. I had to walk a whole 20 yards to get to the gondola:

I didn't know Batman skied:

There's a good view of Mt. Rainier from the top:

The also have a snack bar, beer and lounge chairs in the snow at the top facing Mt. Rainier. It was either wait in line for half an hour for a real beer or get a Bud Light from the keg lady right away:

You can also see the top of Mt. St. Helens in the distance:

I originally got this H2O Audio waterproof Nano holder for listening to MP3s while riding. It works great strapped to my knee and is easy to use:

It works great skiing too. I can switch tunes while skiing. I was a little concerned about my JVC Marshmallow earbuds falling out but I ski so smoothly that that's not really an issue:

The keg lady had a more substantial beer in the afternoon - Pyramid Snowcap Ale:

That little spec is a private plane flying about 2,000 feet below the ridge at the top of Crystal Mountain:

Right before my last run I took a chairlift ride with Mr. Jeaggy. Needless to say he was in a very good mood:

And I discovered that Catwoman is also a skier:

When I got back to my bike I discovered that some bird had left a love-dookey on my seat:

It's a good thing that I wear a size 10. I don't think a 10.5 would fit in a city case:

The ride up there and back is a little curvy and has some decent scenery but it's kind of a ho-hum. At least it's got some straightaways where you can wick it up and multi-pass packs of slow cars:

A view of Mt. Rainier on the way home:

When I got home, I unloaded my ski stuff and went over to a guy's house to help him swap the fuel injectors on his K75RT because he really wanted to get it running before he left for Afghanistan on Monday (on a plane, not the bike):

It was a long day....
