Title: Fuel Filter
Post by: argent brick on May 27, 2014, 11:54:33 PM
Hi Guys,

I have not posted in anything in ages but here is my question. It is new fuel filter time and I am not crazy about driving 75-80 miles (plus bridge toll) for the privilege to pay almost 20 clams for a stock filter. Any ideas?

We have Autozone, Kragens, NAPA, and Walmart easy to get to here in town.  Thanx.

agreed... napa 3032... ride it often... change the fuel filter every approx 10k... dont run your fuel level past 180 miles... 160 miles if its hot... and your fuel pump will last forever...

I wouldn't swear to it but I think the NAPA filter might be half of that...or, at least, less

In my area, the napa one is less than $5.

+1 on the NAPA Filter.  About 5 bucks.  Seems to work as well as the BMW "official" filter for about a quater of the cost.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I picked up the Napa Gold 3032 here in town. Four dollars and some change. That beats the eighteen dollars from my local dealer by a long shot. Factor in commute cost to the dealer and I just saved about $40 big ones!

Thank you.

 You bought 2 right?

Good to carry a spare, if not for you, for the person you meet or ride with who will need it.

Nope, just bought one. Now that you have said I need a spare, I will need one out in the middle of nowhere.
