Idaho, the right to sustain irreparable brain damage state. ;D
What about Rattlesnake Grade?
Hi Johnny,
I'm thinking of heading out there if I may. Not certain but have high school buddy flying helicopters in Couer d'Alene I've wanted to get out to see for several years. This looks like a good fit.
Certainly split cost on a room--if someone can put up with alleged snoring.
Plotting now, will take a few days to confirm...
Mike
Earplugs are mandatory.
No sweat guys--buddy is working Arizona fire now until...??
It was just a wild idea.
thanks
Mike
ps--maybe i'll see ya in Juneau
I'll see you guys sometime late Friday in Idahoe... should be an entertaining weekend. ;D
Hey FD....did you think any more about getting up at the crack of dawn to roll with me ?? :o

I don't understand why you think you have to leave at 5:30. Google Maps tells me it's about 5 1/2 hours to get from Seattle to Clarkston. I'd say leaving here at 8:00am would give you plenty of time to make it there by 2pm to get yer tire swapped.
... but would much rather burn up 2.5 extra hours of daylight rolling the rattlesnake or the spiral highway...
greetings mystic reb...
its about time you had a movement... you really been uptight recently...

I haven't been there in a while so I'd have to check my GPS tracks but I think this is how I usually go - the last part is the Old Spiral Highway. Johnny's a wuss if he doesn't like going down it. Great views too.

Maybe we can hook up at the XXX in Issaquah and have breakfast in Eburg:

Is Trudy coming? If not and your LT is down then you could ride her bike.
Just my experience and kind of a tangent but I've never needed an appointment to get a tire swapped. I've found that if you're willing to take off your own wheel and you're traveling that most shops will find a way to squeeze you in. Usually I'm out within a hour after I ride up out of the blue.

One of these days I'll get around to learning the correct way to snatch a wheel off the RT (so far I've been lucky with warranty paying for everything ;)) - I've done it tons of times on all my other bikes, but for the $30 that they're gonna charge me for the whole kit and kaboodle....why should I get my hands dirty ?? ;D
Nice find!
Right in the middle of the road?!?!

Trail goes cold in manhunt for Montana fugitive

MISSOULA, Mont.—A Montana fugitive and ex-militia leader has been on the run since a Sunday shootout with deputies, but the trail has gone cold.
Missoula County Sheriff Carl Ibsen said Thursday that deputies were trying to develop leads to find David Burgert, who authorities say ran off into the Lolo National Forest after exchanging shots with deputies following a low-speed car chase.
Police think Burgert is hiding somewhere in the mountains near the Montana-Idaho border, an area of towering peaks, low brush and thick pine forests. In recent decades, this remote region has proven fertile ground for extremist groups including the Militia of Montana, the neo-Nazi Aryan Nations and many others.
Burgert once led an anti-government militia in northwestern Montana known as Project 7. It was broken up after Burgert was arrested in 2002 on weapons charges. He spent eight years in federal prison before being released in March 2010.
Maybe I won't be camping out next weekend.........
i think that dude is living in mystic rebs crawl space n dining on big giant Sysco Burglers...
its 35 degrees in stanley iderhoe this morning... motomayhem forecast highs 70s lows 30s 80% chance of dry...

Does that mean 20% chance of night time snow?
I've changed my plans. The campground in Montana is too far away and there's no f'n way I'm gonna ride Lolo Pass in the dark - too many f'n deer around there. It would be sewercide..
Always go with hollow points. Doubt he's wearing a bullet proof vest. 8)

Did you read the article? He's a militia dude that has arms stocks in the woods. I'll bet he's wearing body armor so you'll need something piercing.
Besides, the RS hasn't had a good long ride lately.
