Anyone know where I can get a Rebuild kit for my master cylinder?
After cleaning it up last week it's still leaking a bit of brake fluid although not too much.
They seem to be scarce items as any I've seen are very expensive compared to other manufacturers rebuild kits I've seen.

Man, their cheapest shipping to the UK is the same price as the kit but I must say the price of the kit is almost half that of the UK sellers. Anyone in the US want to check out postal rates to the UK?
Low and slow to BT74 4QS please. If it beats $46 then maybe we can come to an arrangement?
Thanks in advance. Al

Zipster, ask if anyone is going to the UK and can carry for you. I just shipped some parts to South Africa for a fellow member and they weighted nothing but the shipping cost was shocking. So given that experience it may not be as cheap as you think.
I am off to Peru for work but if you get the weight and no one helps by the time I return. I'll find out for you.

I know it weighs very little as I've had the master cylinder apart. Probably about 50 grams or less than 2 oz (US) so thanks for the offer. Much appreciated.

Will this fit onto a K1100LT?

Nope....at least it's a different part #.
-
It's for a 2V model....which got a smaller bore/piston........2V, 13mm....4V, 20mm.
-
AFAIK your master cylinder will be a magura 20mm http://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/Parts.php?T=5&NU=15&M=40&Ct=IA&SbCt=BA_15_40_IA_40 (http://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/Parts.php?T=5&NU=15&M=40&Ct=IA&SbCt=BA_15_40_IA_40) .I bought one at the end of August last year, after seal kit did not work owing to worn/pitted bore, was upset that cost was £144 + postage but note present price is £229.46 + postage!!!!!
-
I checked out the USPS website and not only did I get the $46 postage priority mail but I also got the option for a first class international large envelope instead of the priority mail option. It came in at under $10 and under $9 if bought online!!

Ask the boneyard if they can ship using the lower rate. Maybe they did not do any homework. Man a 85 GBP increase in less than a year is a shock.
