Title: Only Saying
Post by: Bokobob on April 29, 2014, 01:55:42 PM
I already introduced myself last week or so.....I bought a 1987 K75C......I appreciate the welcomes received in my first post...

I am writing again to "rave" about the total smoothness and nimble handling of this remarkable bike....I had read about smoothness of the K75 for a couple of years but figured nothing could be smoother than my very smooth running Honda Magna V4 bike, but the K75C is indeed a little bit more smooth than my rice burner...This bike was the least expensive of the 15 or so I have owned since 2008 when I took up biking again in my seventies.....I have just two left, the Magna and the K bike...I took it to the dealer this morning to have them put on RT (I think that's what they are called) handlebars...I am beyond "wrench challenged" and don't often attempt much more than changing oil, plugs, that sort of stuff....

Although I can live with no windshield with my full face shield, I would like to find a very tall windshield, such as 20 inches or even more...any tips are welcome..I have been searching on this item and so far nothing looks like I want it....

I've been considering one of these for some time now, I'm in the NorthWest, ride daily, get pelted with cold rain etc... still too much a glutton for punishment but these look pretty simple and universal and easy enough to take off on nice days when you want to get the bugs back in your teeth  :riding:

Ok, and the new handlebars are installed and make a major difference in comfort...My hands are now about 4 inches rearward from where they were with the original, more forward  handlebars.......I can sit erectly with no strain on back..Did not have to change any cabling or hoses...One hour shop time at the dealer..I think the new ones are RT bars.
