Picking it up Saturday.
85 K100.
It's on it's second Instrument cluster, but mileage is estimated to be 40-45k.
Owner has service records from new.
This is my first K model.

I've got about 150 miles on it since I picked it up. I'm happy with it so far. I'm still getting used to it. Feel some vibes in the footpegs, but not horrible. I looked like I had a leak at the oil pressure sender. But I cleaned up all the old gunk from around it and really don't see much of anything yet.
I plan on checking/ lubing the splines, and changing the fluids. Owner did tell me the oil and filter were changed less than 200 miles ago.
60 seems to be it's happy spot.
I did a search but drew a blank. How do the low fuel lights on this thing???
LOL!

Welcome...
Very handsome and sharp bike.
I have a K75c.. new to me.....fuel light on mine came on yesty for first time and I filled it up with about 2.5 gallons of fuel..
Question>>>>>>>If you can figure out what brand and model number your windshield is, please post that info or PM me...I think it might fit my K75C....

Finally got a chance to put some miles on the bike.
Only issue I have is this morning the low fuel light came on. Got fuel and it went out. 50 miles later, it came back on and now it won't shut off. Even after stopping and putting in a gallon and a half to top it off.
Any ideas?
Other thing is the tach doesn't work very well.

Unable to say how to fix fuel light coming on....but, and I am not pulling your leg, you could just
put black tape over the fuel light and go by rough estimate of time in the saddle......
I say that because my odometer does not work, and after two hours or so of riding, even if broken up into
a few days of short rides, I fill it up and it tends to take about 2.5 gallons..

greetings bokobob...
does the tape have to be black...

Welcome!
I would think your favorite color would be fine...
My fuel light has the opposite problem, it never comes on. If your odometer is working, I usually go about 200 miles (on a K75 that is) or more (it is a 5+ gallon tank). When you pull out from stops and loose power you still at least a few miles of fuel. Don't ask how I know that.

Ok. New problem. Running down the highway, steady speed, about a half tank of fuel and the bike started cutting out like it was vapor locked.
I stopped to check it out and I notice a chirping sound up towards the front of the tank. I don't think it's the fuel pump because I can hear that towards the back of the tank.
The bike did die, but I managed to get it restarted. But taking off, the bike acted like it wouldn't pull at all.
I wasn't too far from home, so that's where I was headed.
It kept stumbling off and one, but at one point it did run great for about 10 miles or so, acted up, then seemed to come out of it. It did this a couple times till I got home.
The fan is working. Fluids look good.
But frankly I'm stumped. At first I thought a fuel issue for sure, but now I'm kind of drawing a blank.

My k1100 did similar a few months back - my fuel filter had split and the system wasn't getting enough fuel. My suggestion - change your filter. It's an easy enough job and won't do any harm if your problem is elsewhere.

Check the pump connection at the back of the tank. That also has the connections the trigginervyour fuel light;). That connection getting corrosives not uncommon. Also check the plug on the ECM. Mine had developed some corrosion and had simular problems.
