Title: K75s - no light on instrument cluster
Post by: Jeff Sichoe on March 09, 2014, 05:10:13 PM
Hey guys!

Got a weird issue with my Instrument cluster...

The Speedo lights went out... about 6 months ago. That's fine, I can use the tacho at night to tell my speed...

Then when the Tacho lights went out about a week ago I thought it might be time to fix it.

Indicator, warning lights, fuel light, etc all work, only the two on speed and two on the tacho seemed blown.

I had a wonky speedo anyway (who doesn't?) so I took it all apart to clean it up.

Inside the cluster it looked all good, no major issues.

Replaced the bulbs with the same 3w 12v wedge style bulbs

Put it all together, and the speedo now works better than it ever has, but the lights on the speedo and the tach are still 'out'

Is there anything i'm missing? I swapped out all 4 bulbs and made sure (as well as I could) that they were in tight and the contacts alligned etc

Anyone got any tips for me? I have a spare cluster which I can swap out if need be but i'd rather just get this one working seeing as I got the speedo going properly anyway :)

Cheers!
