Inspection shows my front disc worn below minimum.
Estimator said $1000 because there is no aftermarket option.
Is there no alternative on a used K75 for worn front (ABS) disc(s) than new part replacement?

Try BikeBandit.com
Lookup your bike, select OEM, Pull up your breaks/Rotors. Then select the aftermarket tab on top.
It looks like BikeMaster & EBC Both have replacements for under $200.00 ea.
Suggest you check with them before ordering from BikeBandit though.
Just an FYI...
Luck!

If I ride it to the ground, will I die?
And does it mess up rotors or ought else making eventual repairs more costly?

Riding on a rotor below tolerance will not cause any additional issues with your braking system. That is to say, If you ride it until the pads touch each other, you'll still have to replace the pads and rotors at some point. In the mean time it might warp but that doesn't really change the stopping effectiveness
If you buy used, ask what the rotor thickness is before buying.

Hi TechPoet,
Google ebc rotors for your bike. I found them new for about 200 each. Also check out ducks kbike parts site for used.

Where are you located? I doubt MOT would check something that detailed. You should be fine, I'd keep an eye on ebay for a set of good used ones. Or switch to organic pads, which will essentially eliminate wear on the rotors (in exchange for more fade when they heat up and lower pad life).
