Would someone tell me what the part number for that little parking light above the headlight is? I'm talking RT/LT/RS style headlight.

Is there an LED replacement?
-
Yes, i have an orange colored LED (more daylight visibility?), look online, it has a 'bayonet' style of socket... it fit right in and was available in white as well...
-
Just a FYI. Quite a few people have popped open the head light and stuck a strip of LEDs in there. There are a few pictures floating around.

Would anybody have a Napa part number for this bulb?
-
This might help you a bit on the way: http://www.donsbulbs.com/bulbs/g623/b/ba9s.gif (http://www.donsbulbs.com/bulbs/g623/b/ba9s.gif)

It's a 12v 4w BA9s base.
NAPA? Good luck with that... They'll have it, but unless you have a better NAPA than I do, it will take miracle to find it.
-
I believe its a Napa # 1893 or 1895, thats all the closer I can get.
-
1893 is the correct one, 1895 looks like it got to big dia.

thanks Inge! I think I'll grab an LED equivalent while I'm in Salem today. I have to park my bike at some strange places at school so I'm thinking if I go LED's on the parking lights I could leave them on for an hour or two without worrying about whether it would start. The thought of bump starting an LT doesn't really appeal to me! Plus some schmo backed into and knocked over another one of my scooters in broad daylight so it's a trigger for me.
-
When you find the LED bulb let me know the info. I have my fairing off doing a rebuild of the bike and now is a good time to change
