Title: New old K-75 C
Post by: Wader on November 18, 2013, 10:03:56 PM
Hi. I'm Wader. I just bought my 4th K75, a 1990 C with almost 100,000 miles on it. I guess I've come back home. Have had many Triumphs, which I think are very good bikes. Last one was a Tiger 1050, which was a little too fast for me in my oncoming old age. Got the Kin Cal and am bringing it back to Texas--Austin. So, I'm riding on I-10 going 80 and 90 mph. So much for slowing down. The bike is now at the dealer in Phoenix getting radial tires, as recommended by Mr. Duck, and I'm going to go get it in early December and finish riding home. The bike was a bargain and runs like a top, as long as I remember to keep gas in it. Fuel warning lights are out & I might need some suggestions about how to fix that. Otherwise, I'm very happy with it and plan to keep it for another 100,000 miles.

Glad to join your party. Wader

I usually use my trip meter as my fuel gauge, but that requires you remember to reset it each time you fill up.

I believe there's also an actual fuel gauge you can install too, but that may require some futzing around. Fixing your low fuel warning light will almost certainly be easier.
