Title: LED Lighting
Post by: argent brick on September 26, 2013, 12:20:52 AM
Does anyone know if there is an LED replacement for the headlight on an early K bike?

If you are talking about rectangular - no.

I have a 6 3/8" round headlight on the '85 I purchased in January that was an RS.

I don't have a stock naked, but I have purchased a 7" shell & rim that will take the Harley or Truck-Lite LED headlight bulbs.

I am running a stock '95 K75 standard. I don't know the dia. of the headlight. Maybe it is the same size as your '85.

ALL of the 7" LED headlights are ~3 times brighter than H4's and consume less energy.

Hummm.  The contrarian in me sez that I don't need to worry about consuming too many watts with the K-bike alternator, and I doubt if all LED are 4X brighter than the incandescent bulbs fitted in the original system.
So call me a Luddite!  :neener:
