From the list at IBMWR.org, with a few annotations from me (wmax351).
Yamaha/Kawasaki shims for 2-valve K shims
Date: Tue, 18 Nov 1997 11:04:23 -0700 (MST)
From: Tony Black <TBLACK@cc.colorado.edu>
One item did come up I want to let owners know about. If you need a shim for your 2 valve K and you don't have a dealer close by, shims from some models of Yamahas and Kawasakis will fit in the Ks. If you have one of these dealers closer I'd use them. I have many times on my bikes and others. Ciao Tony

I've found that the 29mm ebay valve shims are slightly larger diameter and don't fit.

For years I've been using feeler gauges that I pulled out of a set of SAE/metric like this one:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/32-Blade-Feeler-Gauge-Metric-SAE-Dual-Reading-Combination-Gap-Thicknes-Measure/292698803616?hash=item4426354da0:m:mhCmUi9i2x24baZqVCtOmUg&frcectupt=true
I put safety pins through the hole at the end and wrapped ducttape around them to give them some kind of handle. It worked but sucked because the ducttape is slippery and the individual gauges are actually SAE with metric translations, so like this:
.0015/0.04mm, .002/0.05mm, .0025/0.06mm, .0028/0.07mm, .003/0.08mm, .0035/0.09mm, .004/0.10mm, .005/0.13mm, .006/0.15mm, .007/0.18mm, .008/0.20mm, .009/0.23mm, .010/0.25mm, .011/0.28mm, .012/0.30mm, .013/0.33mm, .014/0.35mm, .015/0.38mm, .016/0.40mm
F**king annoying. I just want metric values in round numbers, I don't want to have to do any extra goddam math. So I got these from http://www.Tills.de.

Pro tools in a nice little container for $10. Can't beat that.

They look like the Wurth feeler gauges I got for my Airheads from Beemerboneyard for just the same reason.

I like them and will probably order a set from till.de, they have some good stuff for us.
Thanks for the post.

This source was recommended by stokester in this post today (http://www.motobrick.com/index.php/topic,12283.0/topicseen.html#msg108536). Be certain to order 29mm diameter shims only.
