just the other day i installed the SM-6 signal minder, its great because i also replaced the OEM instrument cluster with an Acewell unit, so now i get the benefit of turn signals that turn themselves off again and i can also turn the signal off by pressing the button again instead of using the cancel switch, not to mention it has a hazard function(which was not working on my bike when i purchased it) and also a flashing brake indicator.
so, now i have decided to replace the filament bulbs with LEDs(another benefit of the signal minder is that LEDs become plug n play), but i am having problems figuring out what to buy. the manual seems to have older part numbers(like p25-1 and and r19/10). i want to replace the turn signals, parking light and tail/brake light bulbs. am i mistaken, or are they all 1156 mount bulbs?

Well, the turn signal lamps front and rear are of the 1156 style lamp as is the stock stop lamp, but the stock tail lamp is more like a 5008 series style lamp. The base may be the same but the bulb shape is different.
The parking lamp up front I'm not all that sure about what wattage it is, but I do know it's a bayonet style base.

the footprint of LED lights is much less than the stock bulbs, so looking at the size of the tail light bulb, i think i can get something that will work, i have not taken the parking lamp out before so i guess i will just do that. with the amount of unclear information about the LED bulb options, do i need to worry about overpowering any of the lights(specifically the parking lamp and tail light). i assume its not an issue because LED draw less power, any thoughts?

All I've done as far as LED, were my inst cluster lamps, and a "k-tail-2" enhancement kit. I've left the regular lamps for the turn signals and such.

i think led 1156 bulbs are hard to see as running lights and turn signals when using the sm6 on motobricks...
