Title: Is this the correct transmission oil level and shock adjustment wrench?

My K75 didn't have the tool kit when I bought it early this summer and as a result, I have had no way to properly check the level of the transmission fluid. I ordered this one off of eBay and I'm wondering if it's the correct wrench? It looks a little different than what is shown in the owners manual.

Also, are there suppose to be markings for the transmission fluid level? or is it just to the top of the rounded part on the handle of the wrench? When go to check the level of my fluid with this wrench, I don't get any reading at all (not even the very bottom gets wet with fluid). Either my level is real low, or this is the wrong wrench.

Only the wrench for the OEM shock has the proper markings.

Looks like my RAM wrench.  I just use a coat hanger with a bend in it.

If it doesn't have a scribe line it may be the newer version. Not sure of the cut over point but newer bikes, like my 1995, had a dipstick in the tool kit instead of the the shock tool with the scribe line.

won't let me upload a picture, but the scribe line on my wrench is 4 9/16" from the shoulder that would rest on the top of the fill hole.

Mdaniels, Your wrench is too short by 16mm to measure the level.  Johnny's idea works and is cheap.  I solved the problem by putting a square aluminum stock into an old screwdriver handle I had lying around and filing a line at the 115mm mark.

dont overfill it cause it can build up enough pressure to push gear box oil past the seal and oil your clutch...

Thanks for all the reply's. I guess I'll fashion my own dipstick to check the level. That was money not well spent... unless I need adjust the shock that is.

And make sure you don't fashion a dipstick that can accidentally be dropped into the transmission.
