I've had this bike a long time. My routine before riding is to check tires and oil level, on the center stand. I know this was not happening until recently. The other day, did my Pre-flight, and the oil level was well below the center Dot. I thought that odd, and wondered how I could have used or burned that much oil on the last work commute, 100 mi........... :dunno2: so I filled it to the Dot, and took off. Got to work, up on the center, looked at the oil, and it was above the Dot by the same amount I had added....
This random Lo and then later back to normal, (since I set the level after oil change), has happened several times now. It seems like there is a quantity of oil that finds a place to hide, and later shows up as normal. How can this happen? :dunno has anyone seen this on their bike?

Yep, many times. Can't answer why, but it does happen.

Did your bike always do this? I think this has just started on mine recently and can't figure out what changed! Is it a sign of something going South?

I've noticed it happening for quite a while on both bikes.
