Title: Soliciting Input on the Vista Cruise + Crampbuster

Hey all, I've got some serious miles coming up and need an affordable non-electric cruise control (i.e. throttle lock). The local shop's got the Crampbuster, which of course is not what I'm looking for (although I've never used one and would love to hear some feedback), as well as the $25 Vista Cruise throttle lock, which looks promising. Anyone use one? Care to comment? Any other models/brands I should look for?

I haven't found the crampbuster to be of any real help. I just get neuralgia from the focused pressure on the edge, no matter where I put it.


What I did instead, was put an o-ring between the grip and the housing. I can pull more of it out to get more stick, and let more slip under to loosen.

I've used a Crampbuster for 3 months..I'd say it's of limited use for a long trip...It does relieve your wrist sort of...Better than nothing.

I've actually installed a Vista Cruise (if not it's near identical to the $25 model) on my Moto Guzzi, 33 YEARS AGO..i LIKE IT...simple and does the trick.
I'd like to have one on the BMW.

I don't have the flip-a-lever but I do have the plain screw that threads into the same hole as the flip-a-lever.  I just leave it tight enough to hold the grip when I let go of it but loose enough to turn the grip when I turn it.  It works for me but gives issues with the safety inspectors at track-days when I forget to loosen it before-hand.  :nono
