Right guys here we go ! 1984 k100 rs .
So I drive from London to Scotland to see my parents 470 miles without missing a beat !
Get on the ferry ( parent live on the isle of Arran ! A bit like the Isle of Man but with shitty road surfaces !!! ) arrive with no drama . Next day with tragkorbs lost I go for a razz , ten miles into my fav 50 mile circuit the bike start spluttering !?!? Ticks over fine but as soon as I open the throttle cough cough splutter splutter ! No power !?!?
So pull over , park up and admire the vistas while I think what I'm going to do , ten min later go back to the bike start her up , rev her , absolutely fine ! Gggrrrr
Scuttle back to my parents and begin to worry about my return trip to London .
Two days later after lots of family and whiskey I set of back . The bike is perfect !
When I got back I drained the tank to check for water and debris ( nominal )
The pump did make a few strange noises on my return trip but has not done it again .
My old k100 had a similar kind of problem but it total cut out and it turned out to be the fuel sensor !
Any idea pump? Sensor? Or filter ? Oh and it did it again today on a 8 mile trip !
Help

yes. similar problem with me. was fuel sensor. i contacted James Sherlock. sent a good used one. problem solved.word of caution. tricky job to fit inside tank. use lot of patience. do it slowly and carefully. good luck

Check the boots between the throttle bodies for cracks. Clean the ECM and fuel pump/tank connectors. The pump connector is known to have issues.

Web back to the bike today and started it ! Still ticking over fine but no power !!! Now abandoned at my girl friends house ! Thank god I've got an Africa twin ! It has never broken down and it's over 20 years old ! Will try to by pass the sensor by taking the wires from pump out the to of the tank onto the block under the tank ! Sid this before on my old one and it worked though no fuel light !
