I had the right side fairing off of my '88 K75S a few weeks ago to replace a failed horn, and on the next ride after that I noticed that the right hand grip heat no longer functions. The left works fine, and both worked prior to the horn repair.
I'm assuming I pulled a wire loose or something while I was in there replacing the horn. The fairings are off now, and looking around in there I have no idea which wires are for the heated grips, and I haven't found any wayward connections without a home. Can anyone give some guidance on which leads are the heated grips, or any other likely possibilities about what I may have inadvertently done while I was in there before that caused this? Thanks for the help.

The grip wires will either 1: be inside the handle bar tube and exit near the ign switch, or 2: be fastened to the outside of the handle bar tube from each grip towards the center. The wires should end in a molded connector.
You could trace the circuit from the hi/off/low switch, the trace is a little farther, but the switch leads should head down under the fuel tank then back out towards the handlebar.
Another option to consider is that the wire actually broke at the right grip. Not uncommon for it to break at the right grip.

The tank is off at the moment so I can trace it and check for power along the route. Thanks for the info.
