the post was1995 k1100lt parts the shock I bought does not look like either lt shocks I have now
1 inch shorter
not a progressive wound spring
no rebound adjustment
spring guage is thinner
only 3 spring preloads instead of 5
shouldn't 1993 to 1995 be the same? :dunno

I posted in the other thread but, I measured mine that came off of my '95LT and it was 15" center to center of the bolt hole. Mine only has 3 settings for the preload. The factory shock on my '97 only had 3 preload settings a well.
If yours has 5, it may be the odd ball non factory issue.

Rich,
As far as I know it's off my 1995LT, looking through my stuff here there is another spring I am not sure if it is for that shock--- if you would like me to send it to you I will--- no cost. If it will not work for you email me back for a refund. ildahl@comcast.net
Thanks Lance

the shock I saw looks kinda like the one I took off my K100RS. It's 14 inches hole to hole. 3 spring adjust points.

Rich,
Here is the other spring that was in my box of parts-- it's 11 1/4" long. It's yours if you want me to send it. Maybe the previous owner changed springs to get a different height or softness. I will ship this out if you would like it Rich.
Thanks Lance
