Isn't Marvel Mystery Oil made from the first cold pressing of virgin snakes?
Stabil is a fuel stabilizer; keeps your gas from going bad if it's going to sit for an extended period. Some people say to use the marine version as it has less alcohol, I think? I don't know; my fuel doesn't stick around long enough to need it.
Crush washer - BMW parts listings usually call them "gasket rings." The small aluminum or copper washers you find under drain plugs. Screwing in the plug crushes the soft metal against the case and the bolt, sealing the gap between them.
Never heard of Aero Kroil until now. Googling it, it appears to be a penetrating oil, for loosening stuck bolts etc. They claim to be the best, as do all the others.

I don't have direct knowledge of Kroil, but I have read good things about it. It's hard to find though. I like PB Blaster, CLP, and Triflow.
To the OP some of these will be hard to find the ingredient list for as they don't like giving the competition their formulas. If you can find the MSDS sheets you can get the list of ingredients, but that's about it.
A good home brew penetrating oil to replace the Aero Kroil is plain old ATF (automatic Transmission fluid) mixed with acetone. I have used it in the past with good results.

Thanks for your replies and info. The local mechanics use brake fluid to loosen stubborn nuts etc but warn that its nasty stuff. I thought that crush washers were split ring washers. It seems that SA petrol is well refined. I ve never seen rubbish petrol in my vehicle s tank or carb.

I think what you refer to as a split ring washer is what in the U.S. is a lock washer.
You almost certainly have local brands equivalent to all of these.
I wouldn't use brake fluid for loosening bolts. I really try to avoid getting brake fluid near anything at all. You're more likely to be successful with something oil-based anyway. Even kerosene would probably work; the finer oils just get in there faster.
The Marvel Mystery Oil is generally added to either the oil or gas as a detergent, in an attempt to clear buildup from the crankcase, or gunk from carbs and fuel injectors. Some claim that in the fuel it lubricates valve stems and such. I'm skeptical, and the engine is built to lubricate these anyway. And I'm sure your local auto parts suppliers have products to clean the crankcase/fuel injectors/etc. if you feel it's necessary.

I was recently reading an article about a test done on different penetrating oils. Kriol was the winner of all the commercial brands tested followed by Liquid Wrench and PB Blaster( or PB and then LW ?, I don't remember). I thought it was funny that WD 40 was at the bottom of the list because that seems to be the most common.
The testers also tried the same home brew that you use, ATF & acetone. They found it worked better than any of the commercial brands tested.
I just wish I could remember who wrote the article.

WD 40 was never designed to be a penetrating oil. It was designed to keep rockets from rusting on the launch pad when dew dropped in the morning. Also does ok for drying out distributor caps. I'd piss on a rusted up bolt and expect better results getting it free then using WD 40.

As a millwright I would have to lend my biased opinion that Kroil is far superior to all the other common penetrating oils although it is a bit more expensive. Just my 2 cents...

Although WD-40 is marketed and generally accepted as a lubricant and oil, like Grim says, it was primarily formulated as a "Water Dispersion agent" so that's what it does best.
