Are you picking on California's roadside workers? Can't say I blame you. We tell the same joke down here.
You know for a state that is flat broke, they sure do some funny stuff. They have the money to change the signage on the side of the state's fire trucks from California Department of Forestry to CalFire, yet the rank and file workers are expected to take pay cuts plus a mandatory cut in hours. You would think that new signage could wait until some other time. I spoke with a state fire fighter and his excuse was that the sign changes on the trucks were already in the budget. The state is broke, it has no budget.
On top of that, the idiots in Sacramento voted to build a monorail that goes from no place to nowhere and they tell us that it will bring in revenue. Really?
I just don't get it. I am sure there is much more to these things than I know about. Hopefully, there are sound logical reasons for what appears to be a bunch of nonsense. Many of us would like to get some straight answers.

Could be. Our officials in Sacramento make all Californians look bad. Maybe the ones we sent to DC have corrupted Washington.
