The gasket (o-ring) itself should be enough, no sealant needed.

This pm i started re fitting my fuel pump and the rest inside the tank. For a 1 st timer what an exacting job. I have a small problem. I cannot get the thin plastic tube  from top side of tank to the bottom of the pump next to the  small sieve like filter on. Is it a train smash if i leave it off ?
