Hi,
New K75 owner here. Does this appear to be the stock seat for the K75s? Has anyone here ever ordered a seatcover from BMW to recover their stock seat?
I am looking into the possibility. I'm guessing that the BMW cover must be pre-shaped or stretched for the application. Looking at the Parts Fiche on my local dealer's site, it shows the seat with what looks like a handle crossing the seat at the midpoint between the driver's and passenger's section. I've not seen any such handle or part on any seat in any of the pictures of K75s I have looked at. Mine is not like that so I wondered if it is the stock seat.

ETA: It doesn't show in the picture, but the seat has a few small holes in the covering, and there is something that looks like paint spattered on it that has resisted my efforts to remove without making it look worse.

That seat looks stock to me. I see what you mean about the strap on the parts fiche. It looks optional on there.
I also see that all the covers are listed as unavailable, at least on MaxBMW's fiche. I have seen them on eBay, though, and yes, some look to be shaped to fit.

The parts fiche is new to me. I'm not certain I'm looking at the correct part. There were to different catalogues to chooses from for the '88 K75s, one for '86 thru '94, and another for '85 thru '95 I think. The part I am looking at is 52532324465, Seat Cover Vinyl Schwarz, and it is listed as available, though I haven't tried to add it to the cart and buy it.
Provided I can determine the correct part#, it is preshaped for the seat body, I will probably order it. Sounds like a good reason to go chat with my dealer.

Beautiful bike! Looks almost exactly like my '88 red K75S! Except I have the small black luggage rack and mine came with a Corbin seat on it.
It looks like your brick has been taken care of.

Mine also had a white battery like yours. I pulled it out and spray painted it black so that you couldn't see it from 200 yards away.

With enough rivits and lots of finger and hand cramping you can get a flat piece of good vinyl to stretch and fit. I did, my 92 K75 seat looks just like yours.

Good point. I'll follow your example and do the same.

If you don't feel like doing it yourself, or have the time, you could visit with your local upholstery shop and see what they can do for you.

Or if you are into the upgrading sector as I am. Try a corbin? I am about to order mine for my K100rs conversion project. you get nice options for the covering and colors and something a bit more comfortable. If a bit more expensive.
