Found a set of used front engine guards for the K75 Police edition. Gonna be badass. Should provide new mounting points for the aux lights and maybe foot pegs.
Just sanded and currently drying from the rattle can spray.
Should be interesting trying to figure out how to mount them. All the attachment bits were included. Wondering if I need longer front engine mount bolts (#1, #2) (http://www.ascycles.com/Illustrated_catalog2/MicroImage.aspx?ImageFileName=dbvis8329515720784610364.bin)?

All installed.
Had to get some longer bolts for the left and right engine mounts to compensate for the guard hardware. Otherwise it went together easier than I expected. Kept all the nuts finger tight until the last minute and then tightened it all down snug. I might move the horns from the fork tree to the front crossbar at some point.
Three of the connections to the oil pan use thick hard rubber nuts with threaded screws sticking out each end. The fourth connection to the oil pan is bolted with rubber bushings to allow some play but is metal all through. This contraption is not meant to break off in an accident like the standard engine guards. It will stay attached no matter what. The bottom protection rivals any of those fancy attachments the GS crowds use.

I like it. With a a good tread you could do some dirt and off roads with that bike now. I might just have to keep an eye out for a set for myself. Where did you find yours?
Cheers, Greg
