I thought I read somewhere on this board that a Kisan SM-6 is the right signal minder for the bricks.
Is that correct?
-
Yup.

Thanks

I recommend wrapping it in electrical tape. The aluminum housing is grounded and it it shorts to the always hot starter terminal relay then it gets mad and all of the magic smoke escapes. DAMHIK.

Thank you for the tip.
I have been wanting to add the signal minder for a while, but I didn't want to remove the fairing and the gas tank for just that one thing. My bike recently started running like crap at idle, and I read your post about cracks in the rubber above the throttle bodies. I did the carburetor cleaner test, and it made the rpm's rise. I ordered new rubber and clamps today. I also found the crimping tool for $22 ($30 shipped) on Amazon.
I plan for surgery this Saturday.

The boots above AND BELOW can leak. While you're at it you should do both sets.
You can replace the flasher relay without removing anything. Unplug the fuel level sender, pull the clips off of the tank posts, lift up the rear of the tank and shove a piece of wood under the tank to hold it up while you replace the flasher relay.
