Title: Heated Grip Switch Project Question
Post by: argent brick on February 13, 2013, 12:13:45 AM
I have been thinking about changing the switch for my heated grips to only operate on the high setting. Or maybe even change to a switch that has a much more solid feel to it. Any ideas or suggestions?

Easiest way to disable low is just to cut the orange wire at the back of the HG switch.

I'm sold.

Would they sell that component at Radio Shack?

They sell a kit but I'd just buy one on Fleabay from the Chicoms.

$7.oo. 10A. HoKoChiCheFucEleComs PWM...
It has a pot with three, not 6, posts soldered for easier removal.
Should take 6-45 days to arrive but that's ok because they "strive towards happy customer".
