Title: Battery Terminal Home Built Modification
Post by: Qdude on February 11, 2013, 07:19:51 PM

The PC 680 has flat mounts where the OEM has vertical mounts. I am going to create a 90 degree brass flatbar converter.

I bought Brass Nuts, Bolts & Washers and an all brass door hinge that I will cut up to create the converter's.
Would there have been a better material to use than brass?
I know that you can buy the parts pre-made online, but it would be easy enough to make them, and I have the materials now.
I also found square rubber furniture foot pads to shim the battery holder with so that it does not short out.

Should I not proceed with the brass.

Sounds fine to me. Anything should work, the terminals are usually lead.

Brass battery posts are done.
Good and insulated as well.
On to bigger headaches.
