Title: My right side cover on my K75S is broken
Post by: detbmw on January 11, 2013, 11:38:31 AM
The right side cover (number 8 in this picture below) had one of the two tabs broken off when I bought the bike. JBWeld had been holding a new tab in place.

Then a couple of months ago, we managed to break the spring off while working on the bike. Again, JBWeld seems to do the trick.

Yesterday I was going to a ride-to-eat in East Texas and I stopped for gas. I put the side stand down first, then dismounted, like I always do. I then reached down for the handle to put it on the center stand and the side cover fell down onto my foot. The tab and spring both had come off and were somewhere back on the road (I looked all around the bike and down the driveway).

So my question is, what now? I found a left side cove on ebay, but no right cover. Anybody know where I can find one or where I can get this one fixed correctly?

The part number for a right K75/C/S side cover in primer is 46631453640.  Google that part number. Plenty of places to buy one.

Thanks! Didn't think of that.
