Title: ABS lights
Post by: argent brick on January 06, 2013, 02:44:46 AM
When I started my brick today, the ABS lights did not go out. They continued to flash while I was riding and I figured that my ABS system is toast.
The next ride, they worked just fine. Anyone have suggestions or ideas?

ABS brains are sensitive to low voltage.  Take your battery to an auto parts store and get it load-tested for free to see if it's on it's way out.

I hope it is not on it's way out. Battery was put in last summer. Any other ideas, guys?

If you're not careful with the wiring for the ABS sensors then they can chafe on the wheel rubber, rub through and fail.

Get a 12V LED at Radio Shack and check the fault code.  That will help you track down where the problem might be.
