Title: Got a new rear shock taller???
Post by: achtung3 on November 14, 2012, 04:19:45 AM
Got a new rear shock for my K75S, Progressive 412, but it raised the bike by about 3/4 to 1in, not too happy about it, b'cause I'm tip toeing.
I like the ride and the bike feels pretty confident and solid on the road.

But I am puzzled because it is supposed to replace the original and my original was lower???
Anyone has an explanation for this?

You may have had a short shock or you may have got a K1100 shock by mistake.
The Standard length for a K75s is 14" center to center of the eyes and the K1100 shock is a tad over 15" and a short shock for a K75/100 is just over 13"
Measure the eye to eye and you will know what has happened.
