Oh, and one more thing. This is the slickest gearshift (K1100LT) I have ever had. I have had boxers and Guzzies and Harleys - KLUNK. I have also had late model Suzuki's, supposedly very slick, but nothing as slick as this machine with 80 000km on it. So, there is my 10 cents on the gear box clunk issue. Scott J from Queensland. I know what you mean by a good shift. I have the K11 and shift is about average but the K100 I had till about 15 months ago was really good. I have been inside both boxes and as far as I can see they are identical.
By the way Queensland is a big place, where do you hale from.
