Title: Identifying wires in relay box
Post by: billday on November 12, 2012, 02:21:58 PM
I just looked in my relay box for the first time ever.

Can someone tell me the purpose of these three unattached sets of wires?

Thanks!                 Bill

Well, not sure about the rectangular one, but the others.....
white round one should be for a factory radio connection, and the black round one I think should be for a factory alarm system connection.

The reason I say should, I bought a radio harness(for my '97 without a radio) from a euro seller and the connection mated with the large black one.
My '95 has a (U.S. market)factory radio harness that connects to the small white one......

The rectangular one is just a ground, branched from the ground connection in the black connector.

The black connector is used various kind of extra equipment.

The white connector is used for the first generation factory alarm system.
Or as Scott says radio.......second generation alarm system does not use this connector.
