I want to buy a click stop torque wrench. Any suggestions as to what brand to buy and/or stay away from?
I would like a Snap-on, but way to much money for my pocket book.

I almost cringe to say this, but I have a 3/8" Harbor Freight ($9.98 with coupon) that matched my friend's new snap-on in an impromptu torque test. They have been favorably viewed in other gear-head forums. Can't beat the bang for the buck.

I have a 1/4" Harbor Freight, a 1/2" Harbor Freight and a 3/8" Craftsman. I had my tooling guy that calibrates all of the plants tools I used to run check them out ... when he gave them back, the HFs that were older than the Craftsman were dead on, the Craftsman he adjusted for me, it was off about 10% across the range. He also said I should get something else for teh 3/8", it wasn't a very good tool in his opinion. I need to pick up a 3/8" next time I am in the HF neighborhood. YMMV

Well, went to Harbor Freight Tools and picked up two torque wrenches. A half inch drive and a 1/4 inch drive. You guys are right, cant beat the bang for the buck. I think they went for about 30 dollars, for both. Also walked out with a set of socket rail organizers and a wrench/tool roll. The tool roll is surprisingly good quality. Less money than the one I bought from Sears, too.
Unfortunately, the closest Harbor Freight is about 20 miles away from where I live. I can see why it is dangerous to go in there if you have a wad of cash.
Any of you guys use their motorcycle floor jack? They have two models. Just wondering about the quality control.

Used it for over 5 years for a 950 pound Roadstar - never failed. Right now it is under a 6 wheel John Deere Gator and has been for a year ... I guess I should buy the parts to fix that thing.
I also have one of these and wish I had bought it YEARS ago ... so much easier to do just about anything on and has been pretty reliable so far.
