Title: Taking the brick to Concord to visit Thoreau's Walden
Post by: tsbt on September 27, 2012, 11:53:38 AM
Destination Walden Pond Mass, next week!

Haven't got an itin, bringing the GPS, 5 or 6 days to kill! Might swing by a friend's house near Westchester NY on the return mabye catch a glimpse of some early fall leaves if I'm lucky and wiggle my way through some country twisties to boot :2thumbup:

Henry David Thoreau, he remains one of my heros. One of the original existentialists. Here he is in a deep pose:

Someone suggested I go to Montreal and curve my way south through Vermont and do a complete loop around Lake Ontario, beautiful vistas I hear.

Looks like a nice tour. I've always wanted to go up to Quebec and the Maritimes while staying here in New England.

I hear the Maritimes is a whole other world, love to go there.

For this one I haven't really planned any lodging guess I'll do that tonight. It's a real fly-by-the-seat-of-my-brick type of trip. I'm just winging it.

I'm envious. Perfect time of the year for that trip too.
