Title: Which brake fittings do I need? Pic attached
Post by: Gubro30 on September 17, 2012, 11:58:20 AM
I'm ordering SS lines from these guys as the previous ones didn't offer threaded fittings.

Which ones do I need for the lines that go from the Y junction under the steer tube to the brake calipers steel rigid lines?

Thanks!!!

R, it`s pictures of the fittings on the end on the brake line at MaxBmw. (http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/DiagramsMain.aspx?vid=51741&rnd=08102012)

Thanks Inge - R seems to be the correct fitting for the junction to the caliper.

And regarding the top fitting that connects to the Y, should I get S or T ?

Isn`t it a banjo fitting at the top of the Y?? If plan to change the line between the MC and Y, G seems to be the closest match on the Y end of that line.

On top yes.

I compared Maxbmw pictures of both end of the #07 line and got my answer. It's for under the steer tube, and to the metal line on the calipers that I was unsure. One is Male the other Female.

Thanks!

Sorry, did misunderstand the question in the first post.....I thought did have the spesific fittings in the bottom of the Y in mind, only.

R would be correct at the Y end, but I`m not shure if it`s S or T at the bottom (calipper) end.
