Beats the F out of me.  Some dude posted up a pic of his ride on ADV and I appreciate it.  I'd never own or ride something like that but I LOVE the way it looks and like the BMW heritage.

It's an  R69 US. Had the /5 forks from the factory.

Aha! didn't realize the US R69 had telescoping forks. I've been puzzling out the possibility of trying to build something both Brenda and I could ride, based on a /2 frame, but with an R90 engine, and... a nice fork with disk brakes, so it would both handle and stop. Been wondering if a K front end could work with a /2 frame, ala Frankenboxer.  :hmm:

Why not?  They put a K bike front end on one of the R65 models. If the factory can do it, why can't you?
